The laser energy is delivered in short pulses to break up the pigment at the base of the hair follicle. It takes a few weeks for treated hairs to fall out. Only hairs in the growing phase are susceptible to laser removal, which is why treatments are done in series — several weeks apart — to treat hairs across various stages of growth.
Who’s a candidate?
Men and women are candidates. Laser hair removal works for a variety of hair color and skin tone combinations, but is most effective for dark hairs on a lighter background. Common areas include upper lip, armpits, bikini area, legs, chest, back, and neckbeard.
The experience
